Kolkata Book Fair 2010 begins at Milon Mela (Indian performing arts) off Eastern Metropolitan Bypass in Calcutta, inaugurated by Mexican Writer or Author Jorge Volpi or Jorge Luis Volpi Escalante. This is an oppurtunity for travellers, who likes to spend their time while travelling by reading books. Any body travelling to India or in India must visit a fortnight long book fair which started on Monday (27 January to 7 February 2010). KolkataBookFair – 650 book stalls comprising books on various fields is being participated by 14 countries including Mongolia, France, Germany, Spain, Italy, Sweden, Romania. CalcuttabookFair is the biggest book fair in Asia, the annual Calcutta Book Fair is a popular cultural event which attracts publishers, writers, buyers and book lovers from all over India and aboard.
The fair now got special attraction, Calcuta BookFair includes a world food market, exhibitions,and other forms of entertainment.Mexican film festival will be held at Nandan and a Mexican food festival at the KolkataBookFair
