Bus Day Bangalore, Travel only in Buses on BusDay

Bus Day in Bangalore, Karnataka – Banglore Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC) has decided to observe BusDay on the 4th of every month starting on Feb 4th 2010. This is the announcement by BMTC and requested people to travel only in Buses and to avoid private transport. BMTC came forward strongly to the point of reducing pollution. The objective of BusesDay is to see what service improvements BusDayBangalore can make changes to offer much better facilities. They have identified two IT corridors – Electronics City and Information Technology Park to launch the pilot Bus Day this month.BMTC has been talking to a number of IT companies to persuade their employees to make Bus Day a success. On Bus Day, BMTC arranged a facility for group pick-ups and drops for employees nearest to their destination.
