Canada PM Harper apologizes to the Air India victim families over 1985 Air India (Kanishka bombing tragedy), 1985 Air India bombing for authorities’ failure to stop “the single worst act of terrorism in Canadian history.”
According to the latest reports, Canadian PM and Ministers pay homage to Kanishka victims.Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper formally apologized on his country’s behalf for the failure in preventing the bombing of Air India Flight 182 – Kanishka in 1985. Pro-Khalistan elements in Canada bombed the Air India Flight, which was on its way from Montreal to Delhi. The plane was blown off mid-air near Ireland on June 23, 1985. All 329 passengers were killed. Harper said: “The destruction of Air India Flight 182 on June 23, 1985 was, and remains, the single worst act of terrorism in Canadian history. It cost the lives of 329 men, women and children.”
